Mozilla Firefox for iOS Preview Available for Download – The browser is currently only available in New Zealand. The first public preview version of the Firefox browser for the iOS platform has been released to the App Store, according to an update from Mozilla today.
That's the good news. Unfortunately, since this is a preview release, it's only available to a limited number of users. According to Mozilla, the preview version of Mozilla FIREFOX for iOS is available for download in New Zealand.
The browser's limited availability is entirely reasonable for a preview version. Mozilla says it plans to create an app that will provide a near-perfect browsing experience for iOS with FIREFOX.
So it's more convenient there for the public preview, because Mozilla will collect information received from users in one country (New Zealand), before expanding the browser's availability to get information in a few more countries before the full public launch.
The preview will collect feedback from iOS users
Obviously, feedback will help Mozilla add new features and improvements to the Firefox browser for iOS.
Mozilla offers some details about the browser's features for iOS, and information on how users can provide feedback after installing the app from the App Store.
First of all, the preview version of FIREFOX for iOS uses smart search, which should offer suggested search results and the choice of search providers.
Also, with FIREFOX accounts, users will be able to transfer their FIREFOX browser history, passwords, and tabs from their computer to their iOS devices.
The first preview release of FIREFOX for iOS includes the Visual Tabs feature, an easy way to keep track of all your open tabs.
