Amazon Prime: The new 10 free games for October

Amazon continues to strengthen the gaming side of its subscription service, announcing a new series of games that subscribers Amazon Prime can get at no additional charge during October . The list includes a total of ten titles, which will become available gradually throughout the month and cover different categories, from horror and adventure to strategy and puzzle games.

Amazon Prime

The offer is particularly interesting for those who already have a Prime subscription, as they don't have to pay extra to acquire these titles. Amazon has long taken a different approach to services like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass.

How Amazon Prime's free games work

Unlike models based solely on streaming or a catalog of games that remains accessible only while the subscription is in effect, Amazon Prime in many cases offers codes for specific games.

Subscribers can redeem titles on their respective PC platforms, such as the Epic Games Store and GOG, while some games are available through the Amazon Games. This way, the game is added to the corresponding account and remains in the user's library even if they later decide to cancel their subscription.

This is one of the most important differences of the service, as users essentially gradually create a personal digital library of games without having to purchase each title separately.

October starts with DOOM and Five Nights at Freddy's

The first batch of games is already available to subscribers. These are two quite different offerings, aimed primarily at horror and action fans.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit is available via the Epic Games Store and transports players to a dark environment filled with chilling encounters and survival mechanics. On the other hand, the classic DOOM offers the intense action experience that has linked its name to the history of first-person shooters and is available via GOG.

New additions every week

Amazon has chosen not to offer all the titles at once, but to add them gradually throughout October. This means that subscribers will have to visit the service regularly so as not to miss any of the available offers.

On October 8th , Conarium and WarBreeds will be added , both via GOG. The former is in the realm of atmospheric horror and exploration, while the latter is mainly aimed at fans of strategy games.

Two more titles follow on October 15. Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong will be available via the Epic Games Store, while Caravan SandWitch will be offered via the Amazon Games App.

Next week, October 22nd, brings the horror game Ad Infinitum to the Epic Games Store, as well as Time Travel: Escape Room Game via Legacy Games, adding a different option for those who prefer puzzles and logic games.

The last games of the month

The series of deals concludes on October 29th with two more titles. Trash Goblin will be available via the Epic Games Store, while Kiborg will be available via the Amazon Games App.

Amazon's specific practice gives subscribers the opportunity to gradually enrich their library with games of different genres, without having to look for separate offers or purchase the titles individually.
