Collateral losses in old Windows since the arrival of the new version

Windows 10

After Microsoft announced that Windows 10 would be released on July 29, and urged users of versions  7 and 8.1 to reserve the free update, the company announced that with the long-awaited arrival of the new features of the version, many features of older versions are "taking hold"...

It is already known and confirmed that in the new version there will no longer be Windows Media Center. As for users who are still served with floppy disks, the new version will require the installation of new drivers. DVDs require separate software for their playback, however, the widespread use of VLC makes the solution to the problem very easy.

The system requirements change and the new operating system requires a processor with minimum specs of 1 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB storage space and 1024×600 screen resolution, while for the 64 bit version the requirements increase slightly.

Under the current restrictions, Cortana will only be available in the US, UK, Italy, China, France, Germany and Spain for now, and anyone who wants to try Hellowill need a camera that supports  fingerprint reader or infrared for face recognition.

One last change that the company has made to the new version is in the way downloads and installations are handled. Enterprise and Pro 10 will have the option to postpone the installation, while Home 10 will not, as the update will be installed automatically as soon as it becomes available.
