The rollout began with the Galaxy S25 last month and has quickly expanded to include a variety of other Galaxy devices. The update was originally expected to start rolling out to older Galaxy devices in October, but has moved ahead of that timeline. Currently, the update is mostly reaching older generations and is seeing a wider global rollout.
The latest updates are rolling out to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, Samsung's oldest foldables eligible for One UI 8. The update is available in parts of Africa, Asia, and Europe. Additionally, distributions for other devices have become more widely available.

The Galaxy S23 series receives One UI 8 in the US market, as do the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. Wider availability has also been noted for devices of the Galaxy A series in Europe. If you have a Galaxy device that was released in the last two years, One UI 8 is likely to be available.
The new release offers greater freedom in customizing the appearance, with new theme options, icons, and animated transitions. Samsung has also focused on improving interaction among its ecosystem devices, with smarter connection and synchronization features.
Additionally, One UI 8 incorporates artificial intelligence features that help automate daily actions and optimize usage based on the user's habits.
