Microsoft recently released update KB5033375 for Windows 11 (versions 23H2 and 22H2), aimed at fixing vulnerabilities and improving the Copilot AI-assistant .
The December 2023 Update for Windows 11 brings Build 22631.2861 and adds new features like Copilot for multiple monitors and Alt-Tab. To get the update, simply go to Start Menu > Settings > Windows Update and click “Check for updates.”
What's new in the December 2023 update
Microsoft is expanding the capabilities of the Copilot assistant on Windows, bringing support for multiple monitors and Alt-Tab. With this update, you can use Copilot on multiple monitors or place it wherever you want in Windows.
Another new feature is Alt+Tab support for Copilot. When you press Alt+Tab, the Copilot thumbnail preview appears among the other thumbnail previews of open windows. This way, you can easily switch between them using the Tab key.

Microsoft also announced that in the coming weeks, support for Windows Spotlight as the default background will be enabled. However, this only applies when the background image is an internal Windows image.
The new update KB5033375 for Windows 11 includes 36 key fixes, including:
- Improved Copilot opening time on Windows (in preview) from the taskbar.
- Fixed an issue affecting the Copilot icon in the Windows taskbar (in preview). It does not appear active when the Copilot assistant is open
- Addresses an issue that causes IE mode to become unresponsive when you press the left arrow key in an empty text box with focus and caret (cursor) browsing enabled.
- Addresses an issue that causes IE mode to stop responding when multiple IE mode tabs are open.
- Reducing power consumption from Dynamic Lighting on your device.

After installing update KB5033375, Windows 11 23H2 will be at build 22631.2792 and Windows 11 22H2 will be at build 22621.2792.
