Apple prepares iOS 17.0.3 to address iPhone 15 overheating

Three days after Apple announced that it would release a software update with a fix for a bug that causes the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max to overheat , reports are coming that claim that Apple is now internally testing iOS 17.0.3 .

It is unclear when the new iOS 17.0.3 version will be released to the public, but it will likely be available either later this week or next week.

Apple did not provide any specific details about the bug it identified, but said it would not reduce the performance of the A17 Pro chip with the planned software. Apple also emphasized once again that the new frame and design of the iPhone 15 Pro are not responsible for the overheating issues, clarifying that the overheating problems are not due to faulty hardware.

The same bug fix should also be included in iOS 17.1, which is currently in beta and is expected to be released in late October.

Apple added that the overheating issues on the iPhone 15 series were also related to certain apps that overload the A17 Pro processor, such as Instagram, Uber , and the game racing Asphalt 9: Legends. Apple said it is working with the developers of these apps to address the situation. Instagram has already released an app update with a fix. Uber has also updated its app, and hopefully it addresses this issue as well.

It's worth noting, however, that not all iPhone 15 Pro users have been affected by the overheating issue. It's unclear how many users have been affected by the problem, but it should be fixed soon.

Overheating of devices

When we're talking about high -tech like an iPhone, overheating may initially seem insignificant, but the real risks are much more serious.

From limited battery life to damage to internal components, overheating an iPhone can cause a host of problems, so such issues should be addressed immediately.
