According to an announcement from Apple, the company has released an M1-powered update for the iPad Pro. And it seems Logitech wasted no time, as it has also announced a new keyboard and trackpad accessory for both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models.
The keyboard, called Combo Touch, is a Microsoft Surface-style case with a detachable backlit keyboard and trackpad. It connects via the Smart Connector found on iPad Pro models.

Logitech has already released a similar Combo Touch keyboard for the 10.2-inch and 10.5-inch iPads, as well as a Folio Touch for the 11-inch iPad Pro and the 10.9-inch iPad Air. The Folio Touch keyboard is not detachable and its trackpad is a bit smaller than the new Combo Touch, but it's otherwise a comparable product.

This is the first time Logitech has offered a keyboard/trackpad option for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, and it's significantly cheaper than the Magic Keyboard that Apple offers. The keyboard for the 11-inch model is priced at $199.99, and for the 12.9-inch model it's priced at $229.99. The corresponding prices for the keyboards that Apple offers for the two models are $299 and $349, which means you can save about $100 or more to stay within your budget.

It's also likely that most users will prefer the design that Logitech offers. It may not be as elegant as the Magic Keyboard, but the Combo Touch will offer better protection for the iPad, while the better detachment and greater stability offer an extra degree of flexibility. In addition, the keyboard offers a wide range of useful features.
The keyboard for the 11-inch model is available for pre-order now, while the version for the 12.9-inch model is listed as “available soon.”
