Apple has announced a new event for October 13, 2020, which has been billed as the iPhone 12 launch day. Apple typically launches its new iPhones in September each year, but this year's launch has been slightly delayed. However, rumors have been circulating about the new devices, as well as the company's other plans, so let's take a look at what Apple will announce next week.
1. iPhone 12

Apple releases its new iPhone every year in the fall. In September, they held an event where they announced a new iPad Air, Apple Watch Series 6, and Apple Watch SE, but there was no mention of new phones. So we're waiting for Apple to announce that event, which is expected to take place later this month, to finally release the iPhone 12.
Rumors about the new iPhone 12 have been pretty consistent, so we have a good idea of what to expect. The new iPhone will come in three different sizes, including a smaller “mini” version as well as a larger Pro Max version.
5G connectivity is something that users have been waiting for for a long time, and this feature is what Apple mentioned at its event with the slogan “Hi, Speed”. Also, the new A14 processor for the iPhone will improve the processing and GPU speeds from the previous generation. Other changes compared to previous models include LiDAR technology , OLED displays and improved storage configurations.
2. AirPods Studio

Apple has been working on a new product for the AirPods. Rumors of this new product, dubbed “AirPods Studio,” have been circulating for months.
What we do know is that the AirPods Studio will cost $349 and offer active noise cancellation technology in a retro style. There's no clear indication that Apple will launch the product in October, but it seems like a good time to launch it alongside the new iPhone.
3. AirTags

How would you like it if you could tag any object you want and track its location with your iPhone? That's exactly what AirTags. Apple has been working on them for a long time.
AirTags are small tracking tiles with Bluetooth that can be used to find lost items. There are several similar products on the market, such as Tile and Adero, but Apple's version will integrate with the company's devices.
Although nothing directly connects them to the October event, it seems like a product that has been ready for a long time and its release has been long overdue.
4. Smaller HomePod

A smaller and cheaper HomePod is among the projects that Apple has also been working on recently.
There are reports that the tech giant will launch a smaller "HomePod" this fall, and October seems like a reasonable option. Apple also stopped releasing speakers to the market this week, suggesting that they are preparing for the new launch.
5. Mac with ARM technology

Unlike most of the products on this list, Apple has officially stated that we will see Apple Silicon/ARM Macs launch later this year. 2020 is coming to a close, and it is unlikely that Apple will announce a new product in November or December. While an ARM doesn’t seem to fit in with the iPhone 12 launch, the company appears to be running out of time.
