Bose has released three new models for its Frames line of sunglasses - headphones , more than a year after the original models debuted.
The new models are called Tempo, Tenor, and Soprano , and the company says they have better bass response than the Alto and Rondo, which essentially had no bass. Keep in mind that, like their predecessors, they're sunglasses with small speakers. Their audio components are intentionally designed to not block your ears, so you can still hear your surroundings even if you're listening to music, podcasts , or audiobooks.
The upgraded system on the new Bose models can block out wind and other ambient noise to make talking on the phone easier. They also have built-in touch control for volume, so you won't have to take out your phone whenever you want to turn it up or down.
The Tempo is a pair of sports sunglasses made from TR90, a thermoplastic material that can withstand extreme temperatures and conditions. It also features nose grips to prevent the glasses from slipping off face while you’re on the move. This model has 22mm speakers built into the frame, and they’re supposedly loud enough that you can still hear what you’re listening to even when you’re cycling at 25 mph.
Additionally, the Bose Tempo is USB -C compatible , has an eight-hour battery life , and has multiple lenses with different benefits to choose from: the basic polycarbonate, Road Orange (can reduce glare from reflective surfaces), Trail Blue (can increase contrast in bright sunlight), and Twilight Yellow (a very low-light lens for use at dusk).
Both the Tenor and Soprano are built for everyday use, with the former sporting a square style and the latter sporting a slim cat-eye shape. Both feature 16mm drivers, are scratch and shatter resistant, and have a battery life of 5.5 hours. You also have a variety of lenses to choose from: Mirrored Blue and Silver for the Tenor, Rose Gold and Purple-fade for the Soprano.
