Warner Media ’s HBO Max is the new streaming service that will be available to the public starting May 27. The new platform , which is set to launch in the spring, follows in the footsteps of Quibi and Xfinity’s preview of Peacock. HBO Max will launch with existing popular TV series , including “Friends” and “Rick and Morty,” movies like “Crazy Rich Asians” and “A Star is Born,” and films from Studio Ghibli. In addition to its library of older series and movies, HBO Max will also feature new programming on its platform .
New programming coming to HBOMax includes the romantic comedy series “Love Life,” starring Anna Kendrick, and a late-night showinspired by the TV series “Sesame Street” called “The Not-Too Late Show with Elmo.” The new streaming service also includes a children’s show, competitions , new Looney Tunes cartoons, and a documentary about those who were sexually harassed by famous businessman and music producer Russell Simmons.
As for service , it will cost $14.99 per month, making it one of the most expensive streaming service options available to the public so far. On the opposite track is the Disney Plus, in which the corresponding subscription is $6.99 per month, as well as the Peacock streaming service, which does not contain ads.
