Customers also have the option to sign up for an annual or three-year subscription, with per-node pricing, per month for $70/node per day. According to Dell Technologies, deployments can take as little as two weeks, and the new subscription model is being described as the “fastest-growing hybrid cloud” in the IT.
“ In today’s technology era, businesses are looking at cloud computing as an operating model rather than a destination, and are looking to deliver simplified IT experiences with common, everyday functionality and cost transparency wherever their workloads are located,” said Deepak Patil , Senior Vice President (SVP) and General Manager (GM) of Dell’s Cloud Platforms and Solutions. The new model expands Dell Technologies’ Cloud portfolio, which is part of Dell Technologies on Demand .
Dell Technologies’ hybrid cloud creation and delivery aims to bridge data centers and hybrid cloud technologies with public cloud providers. In addition, VMware is a key player in Dell’s hybrid cloud delivery effort, providing a “software glue” to a cloud platform that can span internal and public resources. Finally, the VxRail enables significant and meaningful integration into the VMware.
