Private photos of singer Peter Andre and his wife, Emily MacDonagh, have allegedly been stolen and published online as part of the infamous Fappening saga.
While there are very few details about this new leak, British newspaper The Sun reports that three photos have been stolen from the iCloud account, one of which "shows Emily naked."
Although nothing has been said about how the hackers managed to breach the account, they likely followed the same method as previous breaches, namely through phishing emails.
Recall that in almost all previous Fappening cases, the perpetrators sent phishing emails to victims requesting password resets, with links that took them to websites stored on third-party servers. Once credentials are presented to these pages, the hackers take control of the accounts and can access any content stored in the cloud.
By default, Apple iPhones are set to automatically upload camera roll contents to iCloud for backup purposes, and this is one of the reasons why many inappropriate photos end up stored in the cloud.
Neither Peter Andre nor his wife have commented on the leak so far.
In many cases, celebrities whose photos were stolen contact law enforcement to investigate the breach, but it's not known if Peter Andre plans to do the same. It's also not yet clear whether the websites that posted the stolen photos have been asked to take them down.
Stopping the leak from spreading, however, is a pretty difficult task, given that websites known for posting nude photos stolen as part of Fappening typically repost the content to other sites.
