This year's OnePlus smartphone will not be called the OnePlus 4, but will carry the retail name OnePlus 5, due to tetraphobia. Some information about the new smartphone has recently leaked.
The OnePlus 5 rumors reveal that the smartphone could come in a black shade, which was recently launched on the OnePlus 3T. The most interesting detail about the smartphone that was spotted on IndiaToday is the dual camera setup on the back.
Previous rumors had it that this year's OnePlus flagship would come with a 23MP dual-lens camera on the back, and the rumors seem to be confirmed. Additionally, it will have an LED and the OnePlus logo on the back.
However, the rear panel doesn't appear to house a fingerprint scanner, which leads us to believe that the sensor will be located on the front. Unfortunately, the rumors don't include an image of the front panel.
The images show an antenna band at the bottom of the back and hint at a metal design, similar to the OnePlus 3 or 3T. Other information about the new phone reveals a 16MP selfie snapper and a 5.5-inch QHD touchscreen.
Qualcomm 's latest platform , the Snapdragon 835, could be integrated into the OnePlus 5, along with at least 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The battery capacity is expected to reach 3,000mAh, while the smartphone could be 7mm thick.
The report states that the rendering is based on descriptions provided by people who have allegedly seen the phone and worked on it. It's also worth mentioning that the design is subject to change and this may not be how the final retail version will look.
