Microsoft is committed to improving its Android apps , and Arrow Launcher, the company's only launcher for Google platforms , receives frequent improvements as part of the stable and beta channels.
Today it's the turn of the latter to receive a new set of tweaks and it seems this is a fairly significant release that could soon be available to everyone.
Initially, version 3.4 comes with support for Android for Work. Android for Work is Google's attempt to bring the smartphone operating system to the enterprise market with more control over specific functions, offering features such as increased security and better application management.
IT administrators can now prevent the installation of applications from unknown sources, enforce application configuration settings, and protect devices with disk encryption while creating profiles that can distinguish home applications from work applications.
The update also introduces note-taking support with a new card that allows users to take notes at any time without the need for a dedicated app. If you want to include photos, image support is also offered.
Microsoft has also focused on the search feature, now supporting QR and the option to password protect hidden apps, which makes the entire launcher more secure as your apps are hidden from any other user.
We also encounter another new feature that allows you to create application shortcuts in order to gain faster access to specific applications.
Note that all of these features are still part of the beta program, but if everything works properly and no major bugs are found, they will be pushed to the stable build as soon as possible.
