All of you who are fans of Windows phones will surely have gotten used to the fact that more and more developers are saying goodbye to your favorite platform. A similar decision was recently made by the British bank Halifax.
Halifax in turn deemed it best to withdraw from its Windows phone application and focus entirely on Android and iOS, thus significantly limiting access for those wishing to use Microsoft's platform.
Users using the Windows phone app are seeing a message directing them to connect via a store link, which does not appear to be available yet.
Although there has been no mention of this decision on the bank's website, the company states in a recent article related to Windows phones that it will now focus on Android and iOS platforms. It should be noted at this point that BlackBerry , in addition to the Windows phone app, also lack the Halifax app.
"We decided to develop an application for customers with iPhone or Android phones. If you have a Blackberry mobile phone, you can very easily and securely access Online Banking through our mobile browser. We clearly do not stop improving our Mobile Banking services and offering you new features." a company representative stated.
Fortunately, the bank's decision to remove the app is not such a big problem for Windows phone customers who had not received any software updates for some time and as a result are using the British bank's browsers more.
