Toshl: It is also abandoning Windows phones

The blows to Windows phones are repeated as not only is Microsoft abandoning some devices by not providing them with the Creators Update, but more and more developers are saying goodbye to them due to the decline in market share.

A recent example is Toshl Finance, one of the most popular financial managers currently on mobile devices. The development team decided to abandon Microsoft's mobile platform and focus on Android and iOS even though work on an upgraded Windows PC had already begun.Windows phones

The development team revealed in a statement that the Windows Phone version of Toshl has been canceled. “We are very sorry for this outcome, but despite our desire to introduce the full functionality of Toshl Finance 2.0 to Windows phones, this move is not feasible.” They continued by emphasizing that they must take care of the company’s future through projects that will offer development and prosperity.

The current version of Toshl is set to be removed from the Windows Store on May 15th, while synchronization will end in September 2017. Users who paid for the app will also need to abandon it by September of this year, while the team suggests they switch to Android or iOS apps if they wish to stay on Toshl.

Unfortunately, this decision by the developers doesn't particularly impress us as Microsoft itself seems to be abandoning Windows phones lately.

After making Windows 10 Mobile available on about 50% of Windows phones, the company announced a new controversial decision today, emphasizing that very few models will receive the Creators Update due to limited hardware.
