Microsoft and Godaddy announced a new service that combines products from the two companies and will be an important tool for small businesses to have an online presence.
This service will offer, among other things, domain name registration, website builder, Office 365 and other tools for just $1 per month for the first year. This collaboration is expected to benefit both companies financially since
they will promote their products to more consumers through an attractive package.
In a statement released today, Microsoft praises the new service, explaining that it will help all small businesses improve their online presence quickly and easily.
What the new service includes
The new service from Microsoft and Godaddy includes Domain name registration, a subscription to GoDaddy's Website Builder, and hosting for the website. Along with the purchase of the package, Microsoft is offering Office 365 and a $50 coupon for advertising on the BING search engine.
The offer doesn't stop there, though. The companies offer free technical support in case something goes wrong with your website. And all this for just $1 per month.
Keep in mind that after the first year, regular charges will apply, which you can find out about on the service's website.
Availability
The program began rolling out on September 15 in the United States
and will soon be available in more countries around the world. More information will be released by the companies in a related announcement.
Kirk Gregersen, General Manager of Product Marketing for Microsoft Office, said: “We are very happy to continue our partnership with Godaddy. Office 365 is becoming more accessible than ever and is an opportunity for small businesses to get to know it and see its amazing capabilities.”.
