Windows 9 is expected to hit the market in early 2015, providing users with features that Windows 8 failed to deliver.
Recently, it was reported that Windows 9 may come free for Windows 8.1 users, and it seems that the company is also preparing a special offer for those running Windows 7 systems.
According to Russian leaker Wzor, who has repeatedly published extensive and accurate information about Microsoft's operating systems, the company plans to make upgrading from Windows 7 to the new operating system very affordable.
Although it has not yet been confirmed, the upgrade from Windows 7 will cost $30 and the entire process will be carried out automatically, without the need for a clear install.
The reasons behind this low price
Microsoft knows that Windows 8 was not the most successful product in its history, and so the company is trying to "disappear" it as soon as possible.
At the same time, it wants users and companies to not hesitate to get rid of Windows 8, and the best way to do that is to give away Windows 9 at a very affordable price.
That's why those who "wear" Windows 8.1 will be able to upgrade to Windows 9 for free, while owners of systems with Windows 7 will have to pay a small amount to get the new OS.
