The prices for the various versions of the smartphone
The new iPhone 6 was unveiled by Apple on Tuesday, garnering the attention of the tech world.
The device, which will be available in two versions with different screen sizes, is equipped with several "goodies." But how deep will consumers be asked to dig into their pockets to make an iPhone 6 their own?
First, let's note that the device - with both screen sizes - will be released in three versions, with different internal storage spaces, as Apple has become accustomed to. Thus, we will see versions of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB, with prices varying accordingly.
The new smartphone is not expected to be released in all countries at the same time. Residents of the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan will be the first to get their hands on the device on September 19.
So, in the US the device will start at $199 (€153) on contract and will go up to $499 (€385) for the Plus version with the larger 5.5-inch screen and 128GB. The prices are only with a two-year contract, as the carriers that will sell the device have not yet announced prices without a plan.
