BitTorrent Sync , the service that allows you to synchronize and share files over the internet, has reached a new milestone. According to an official announcement from the company, there are currently more than 1 million active users on the platform.
BitTorrent Sync, which offers services comparable to those of Dropbox and other cloud services, has managed to attract strong user interest, despite its few months of operation.
Today there are approximately 1 million active users of Sync and more than 30 petabytes of data in the service.
The numbers are expected to increase even more in the coming months, as the company has decided to release the first Sync API that allows developers to integrate the service into their applications.
The company has also released a new version of Sync, which provides users the ability to transfer data at speeds up to 90 MB per second over LAN networks.
