The tech giant has unveiled a revamped color palette for its hugely popular app , but people who have used the service for years say it looks worse.
One person joked that it's so awful it "makes my eyes bleed."
For some reason, Google decided to change the roads from white to gray. Areas with water are now a lighter blue, while forest areas use a much darker green than before. The route indicator has also been revamped, with a much brighter blue color.
Social media has evolved into a place full of complaints about the change that has taken place.
One user wrote on Reddit: “I’m not a fan.”
“I didn't like them at first when I started seeing them about a week ago. They're not that easy to read for me. If I could, I would bring back the old colors.“

Another wrote: “Classic Google, changing what was completely good and making it worse for no apparent reason.”
However, there are some who do not oppose the decision.
“I like the change, but since some have noticed some readability issues, it would be nice if they could let you choose between two or three color palettes,” commented a third user.
