Apple adds 20 new games to Apple Arcade

Apple unveiled 20 new games to Apple Arcade on Thursday.

Apple Arcade is a subscription video game offered by Apple Inc. The service became available on September 19, 2019.

Among the new games are a new exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game , as well as classic games like Temple Run and Snake.io.

TMNT Splintered Fate is a "roguelike adventure" game, where players are asked to play as different characters, such as Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael, to find the missing Master Splinter.

Other titles coming to Apple Arcade include Words with Friends, Disney Spellstruck, a fun little game called WHAT THE CAR? from the makers of WHAT THE GOLF?, and more.

These “Plus” versions essentially offer versions without ads and without in-app purchases.

Apple adds 20 new games to Apple Arcade

In Apple's press release, senior director of Apple Arcade subscription service , Alex Rofman , said:

“Apple Arcade brings together hundreds of fun titles in one gaming destination for our users to discover and enjoy. Today’s launch adds to our award-winning catalog with 20 new games that people will love to play and share with friends and family.“.

It's worth noting that Apple is making these additions to the Apple Arcade catalog after releasing more than 50 games last year.

The company also said that later this month, it will update titles like Jetpack Joyride 2, Angry Birds Reloaded, LEGO Star Wars: Castaways, Asphalt 8: Airborne+, and Cut the Rope Remastered.

Yesterday, Apple announced its quarterly results for the second quarter of 2023 and showed that its “assistant services,” which includes Apple Arcade, saw revenue record ($20.91 billion). However, it was slightly below analysts’ expectations, which had estimated revenue of $20.97 billion.
