RoboCop: Rogue City has received a new and exciting release date!

The new game starring '80s law enforcement and action hero RoboCop is coming in September, a little later than originally planned, publisher Nacon announced Thursday. As the video , players will be able to take on the roles of half-human, half-machine and investigate corruption, deliver justice with a bullet or two to the bad guys, and even hand out those dreaded parking tickets.

The first gameplay footage released shows a detailed abandoned Detroit, and Alex Murphy patrolling the streets, looking for those who commit crimes. In the video, RoboCop quickly finds a drug stash in the basement of an arcade. He is then seen emptying his deafening 9-caliber automatic revolver into the heads of some street scum, then switching to an automatic machine gun for even more violence. It's quite bloody for a first gameplay, which is why the RoboCop: Rogue City gameplay video is rated.

A little later in the same video it shows RoboCop enforcing the law in a calmer environment and with less violence by simply giving a ticket to a parked car which is near a fire hydrant.
RoboCop: Rogue City appears to be returning with the voice of Peter Weller as RoboCop, although the dialogue may seem a bit sleepier (he's 75 years old, leave him alone.)
