Anyone with number can call or video call you on WhatsApp, without you having the ability to stop it. But on Android, you have the option to turn off WhatsApp calls without affecting your regular calls. Follow the steps below.

- First, open the WhatsApp app on your Android device . Then, tap the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the app.
- From the list of options presented there, select “Settings”.
- Enter the “ Notifications ” menu .
- Scroll down to the “Calls” section and tap “Ringtone.”
- Select “None” from the list of available sounds.
- Then, tap “Vibrate” and toggle it to “Off.”
Now, whenever you receive a voice or video call via WhatsApp, no sound will be heard from your phone. This preference will remain active until you manually change it by following the same steps again.
However, keep in mind that WhatsApp call notifications will still appear in your phone's notifications, and unlike messages , there's no option to turn them off completely.
- If you don't want to mute all WhatsApp calls, you can also apply this option for a specific contact.
- Return to your chat list on the app's main screen and enter the private chat of the person whose calls you want to remove.
- Tap the recipient's name at the top to view their profile page.
- On the next screen, go to the “Custom Notifications” section.
- Check the “Use custom notifications” box at the top.
- In the “Call Notifications” section at the bottom of the page, set “Ringtone” to “None” and “Vibrate” to “Off.”
When you do this, WhatsApp will turn off call notifications from that person. Calls from your other contacts will continue to come to phone as usual.
