The infamous Konami Code was created by Hashimoto in 1986, when he attempted to adapt the Konami game Gradius for the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Hashimoto found the game difficult. To make it easier to test the game, he entered a codewhere typing ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B and A would allow him to start the game easily. Since then, the Konami code has been used in dozens of video games, including: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project, Dance Dance Revolution series, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Castlevania: Lords of Shadows, the first Mario Party, BioShock Infinite, Borderlands 2, Anthem, and many more.
