As we all know, the US with Huawei has never been the best, culminating in the US government’s decision to ban American companies from doing business with the Chinese tech company. However, a few months ago, the US had temporarily suspended the decision, allowing companies to do business with Huawei. Now, the Department of Commerce has granted another temporary license (90 days) to the Chinese company.
“The extension of the Temporary General Authorization will enable collaboration and customer service in some of the most remote areas of the United States that would otherwise be left in the dark,” said the US Secretary of Commerce.
However, the minister stressed that the US will keep a close eye on and strictly monitor exports of sensitive technologies “to ensure that their innovations are not exploited by those who could threaten national security.”
During the previous temporary cooperation authorization, the department had said that these extensions are being given to give American telecommunications companies time to gradually and smoothly move away from equipment Huawei
Huawei claims that its placement on the US "blacklist" was politically motivated and not related to national security.
"These actions violate the basic principles of free market competition and do not benefit anyone, including American companies," Huawei said in August.

“Efforts to suppress Huawei’s business activity will not help the United States achieve technological leadership. We call on the US government to end this unfair treatment and remove Huawei from the blacklist.”.
Huawei seems to have the support of the world, after showing increase in its revenue and selling 185 million smartphones during the last nine months.
Huawei accepted the first temporary extension of cooperation in May, shortly after the US decision to ban the country's cooperation with the Chinese company.
Currently, there are more than 100 Chinese companies, in addition to Huawei, that are on the US “blacklist”.
Trump had tweeted in March of last year that trade wars are good and can easily be won by Americans.
