Saudi Arabia was hit by two major attacks. Two major oil production facilities were hit by drones, resulting in a dramatic reduction in production.
The Houthi rebels in Yemen reportedly claimed responsibility for the attacks . On Saturday morning, the perpetrators used ten unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and carried out attacks that caused a large fire at a major oil facility .
The targets of the attacks were the Abqaiq and Khurais. It is estimated that about 50% of production (about 5.7 million barrels per day) has been disrupted due to the fire. However, the Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz, said that there are enough reserves to meet the needs of customers.
The US government directly blamed Iran. The US tweeted that Iran had carried out an unprecedented attack on oil facilities that supply many countries around the world.

He also called on all nations to publicly condemn Iran's attacks. "The United States will work with partners and allies to ensure that energy markets remain satisfactory and that Iran is held accountable for its attacks," he said.
For its part, Iran denied the accusations.
Houthi rebels often use drones for many things. They can use them to spy on their targets or to launch attacks with grenade-sized munitions.
After the attack, oil reached its highest price in four months.
