Tor Browser officially comes to Android in a stable version

Browser One of the issues that concern many people, whenever they are on the internet, is the protection of privacy. It is known that companies monitor our activity on the Internet. However, most people are against this practice of monitoring. Therefore, technology offers various solutions that promise to offer protection and anonymity. Some of these solutions are VPNs and incognito modes. However, when we talk about anonymous browsing and personal data protection, the famous Tor Browser automatically comes to mind.

The news is great. According to the Tor Project, Tor Browser is finally coming to Android in a stable version. With this release, browsing the Tor network will be much easier and will offer complete anonymity.

The Tor Project said in a blog post that mobile browsing is becoming more common. Some people even use their mobile phone exclusively to access the Internet. The problem is that mobile web activity can be tracked even more easily. That's why the company wanted to offer a version of the Tor browser to these users as well.

Since Tor Browser is based on Firefox, it offers some features, such as tabbed browsing. However, it does not connect directly to websites. It actually uses a network of encrypted servers, thereby masking the user's IP address and identity.

The anonymity that Tor Browser offers is essential for many people. For example, the government can monitor some journalists and prevent them from doing their work. With Tor browser, they can stay away from prying eyes. Beyond that, however, it can also help in the daily lives of most people, since it helps to avoid ads and bypass geo-blocking.

Of course, the browser can also be used for nefarious purposes. Fraudsters can exploit the anonymity for illegal activities, such as selling stolen data, weapons, drugs, and more.

The Tor Project said there is no version of the Tor browser for iOS. Instead, it recommends the Onion Browser for iPhone and iPad.
