Tumblr has recently banned "adult content" in an effort to become "a better, more positive place," but the policy change has led some users to abandon the platform.
If you are one of them, today we present you with some alternatives that definitely do not prohibit inappropriate content.
Newgrounds
Although Newgrounds may be old-fashioned (from 1999), the site prides itself on its complete independence, allowing "everything for everyone."
Pillowfort
Pillowfort.io is a user-friendly platform that emerged from people who "complain about the limitations and imperfections of other sites and lament that there is nowhere better to go. "
Unfortunately, Pillowfort is in beta and costs a small fee to join, but you can try out the platform as a demo user on the Pillowfort website. However, you may have problems accessing it due to “high amount of traffic.”.
Dreamwidth
Dreamwidth platform for anyone who wants to share artwork and creative writing.
Mastodon
Mastodon is a social platform, meaning that thousands of separate communities exist on separate servers, but all exist on one network. In response to Tumblr, Mastodon shared a post with reasons to choose its platform as your new social media site .
"It's a completely free social network that combines the best parts of Twitter and Tumblr, but the technology is structured in a way that it can never be shut down."
