Asus has announced the launch of its all-new high-performance RTX-based NVIDIA graphics cards. The Asus GeForce RTX 2080 Dual EVO will feature a dual Axial-Tech fan design along with a 2.7 PCIe slot width design. Like many other modern cards, the fan will run at zero RPMs while the card is idle to improve fan life. On the PCB side of the card, Asus has added an aluminum plate to help with structural support, as well as provide some light cooling.
Also, the RGB lighting has been integrated into a shroud from the new card along with the top edge near the power connectors. The RGB lighting and its effects do not require a separate connection and can be controlled using the Asus Aura Sync software. As for power, this is given to the GPU by the 8-pin PCIe power connectors from the power supply. In terms of monitor support, the Asus GeForce RTX 2080 Dual EVO will have 3x DisplayPort 1.4 ports, an HDMI 2.0b port, and a single USB-C VirtualLink port for VR.
