NVIDIA has announced the availability of the new Game Ready Graphics driver, the 397.93 GeForce update , which improves the performance of The Crew 2 Closed Beta and State of Decay 2 .
The current version includes support for CUDA 9.2, fixes the bug that prevented SLI mode from being enabled/disabled while running Steam, and fixes Wolfenstein II freeze incidents observed in the Roosevelt area.
Additionally, version 397.93 ensures that GeForce GTX 870M GPU acceleration is not used for Windows Explorer, removes a bug in the Digital Vibrance setting (related to Surround), and resolves Far Cry 5 flickering when using HDR with non-native resolution.
Finally, NVIDIA is also addressing some issues with the GPU combination, GPU + Kepler GPU, removing the Experience Improvement Program from the NVIDIA Control Panel, and ensuring that all color formats are available when Windows HDR is enabled.
In terms of operating systems, the update is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Microsoft's Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 platforms (desktop or notebook). Also, please note that NVIDIA TITAN V configurations running on Windows 7 64-bit require a separate driver.
Regarding the installation, make sure that this version supports your GPU model, save and run the appropriate package for your operating system, follow all on-screen instructions, and perform a system reboot to be able to properly implement all changes.
