Chromebook owners will now be able to move active windows between displays using keyboard shortcuts, as Google is including this feature in Chrome OS.
According to a Google spokesperson, Chrome OS will offer a bunch of new keyboard updates that allow users to move active windows between displays. These are Search + Alt + Left Arrow to move the active window to the left display, and Search + Alt + Right Arrow to move it to the right display.
Additionally, users will be able to move active windows to the highest nearest monitor using the Search + Alt + Up keyboard shortcut, as well as move an active window to the lowest nearest monitor using the Search+Alt+Down shortcut.
If you're interested in trying this feature, you can switch to the Chrome Canary experimental channel on your Chromebook.
It's also worth noting that Google is bringing split-screen support in tablet mode to Pixelbook Chromebook. This feature has already landed in the latest Chrome OS Devel channel and can be enabled via the "Split view in Tablet mode" option.
