Microsoft has released a new update for its Pix camera app on iOS , adding a few new features and several fixes to improve performance on Apple's platform.
The reason for version 1.1.4, which adds automatic blackboard recognition and scanning to the Microsoft Pix Camera application, to the already existing support for whiteboards, documents, and business cards.
This was essentially Microsoft's goal, namely for the Pix app to be able to enhance all of the aforementioned features immediately after scanning them.
Additionally, support for up to 90-degree rotation in editing and cropping is offered, giving users a little more control over their photos. In short, while many will not consider this update to be something major, it is certainly a big help for those who edit their photos.
Note that Microsoft states that version 1.1.4 includes some performance improvements, but we have not detected any so far.
Informationally, Microsoft, by improving its iPhone and Android applications, remains active in the mobile sector without actually having its own mobile platform.
Meanwhile, Android and iOS still rule the mobile world, with Microsoft doing what it does best by offering new features for its apps very frequently.
Microsoft Pix requires iOS 10 or later and supports the majority of devices, starting with the iPhone 5 and ending with the iPhone X, which at this point has not yet been released.
