Apple is completely removing Touch ID from its future devices

The iPhone X , which is set to launch next week, will feature – as we've said before – a facial recognition system instead of Touch ID, while the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus  feature a fingerprint sensor.Touch ID

Apple has decided to offer more security to its future devices by installing a facial recognition system. This means that the company will abandon fingerprint sensors completely, with the current model effectively bringing down the curtain on this system.

Facial recognition with 3D scanning will help Apple maintain its advantage over rivals who are still trying to develop similar technology. However, Apple has so far finalized the transition to facial recognition as it believes that this way it will make downloads and payments via phone more secure.

On the other hand, Android device manufacturers continue to invest in Touch ID, even taking the technology a step further by integrating readers into the screen.

Apple had also considered integrating the sensor into the iPhone 8 display but abandoned the idea due to production issues. In fact, the company claims that other manufacturers will sooner or later switch to the facial recognition system because integrating the sensors is a fairly expensive solution.

At this point, we should note that not everything is rosy for Apple as the facial recognition system is creating problems for manufacturers who are unable to bring the production process to the required levels.

However, we have no choice but to wait for the release of the iPhone X, which is expected to see the light of day in November.
