Motorola recently released a list of all its devices that will receive the Android Oreo update.

The Lenovo-owned company has not said when the updates will start rolling out and is focusing on devices officially sold in the US. Oreo is the latest version of Android, released on August 21, 2017. The update was first released for Google's Pixel and Nexus devices.
While preparing the list of Motorola receiving Android update, the company seems to have left out the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus series smartphones that were released in 2016 from the list. However, considering the popularity of these devices, there will be a custom ROM update available on the XDA Developers forum even if there are no official updates.
List of Motorola devices receiving the Android Oreo 8.0 update:
Moto Z2 Force Edition
Moto Z Play
Moto Z2 Play
Moto Z Play Droid
Z Force Droid Motorcycle
Moto Z
Moto Z Droid
Moto G5S Plus
Moto G5S
Moto G5 Plus
Moto G5
Moto X4
Meanwhile, other manufacturers have also confirmed which devices will receive Android 8.0 updates. HTC revealed a few weeks ago that the HTC 10, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 11 would be updated to Oreo. The OnePlus 3 and 3T will also receive the Oreo update, and this will be the last update they receive, the company confirmed. HMD Global has also confirmed that the Nokia 8, Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 will get the software update.
Android Nougat is currently running on more than 15 percent of devices. Android Oreo will bring a system-level change with the introduction of Project Treble, which will simplify the way Android updates work. Hopefully, the fragmentation problem in Android will be resolved and updates will arrive much faster.
