Following the unveiling of the three new iPhone models (iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X) on Tuesday, online consumers began sharing their thoughts on the devices' exorbitant prices.

Developer Felipe Schmitt took the opportunity to create a website that shows the real cost of an iPhone in different countries.
Along with the cost of each device, the number of hours of work required to obtain each model is also displayed.
Of course, the developer's main goal is to show interested parties the economic inequality that exists in some countries.
According to an earlier BBC article (2011), a 17-year-old Chinese man sold his kidney to buy an iPhone and an iPad. Given the steady increase in iPhone prices over the past six years, he would probably need to sell more organs in 2017.
Felipe's website makes it easy to compare different countries. Of course, European countries have nothing to do with Asian or South American countries, where wages are ridiculous. For example, in Mexico it would take 255 days of work (eight hours), due to the low minimum wage of around 0.49 US dollars.
I should mention that after a test I conducted for working hours in Greece, I did not find Felipe to be so realistic.
For example, the price for the iPhone X states that it is $999, which I do not think will be true in the end.

The working hours reach 223, which shows that the programmer calculates the Greek minimum wage at $22 (for 8 hours of work). So someone who is interested in the device and earns this money, would have to work 28 days, without having any additional expenses to obtain it.

Felipe hopes to help consumers find the logic to figure out if they're willing to put in the work just for the iPhone. Maybe it's time for Apple to create a powerful yet affordable device so some can keep their memberships...
