Motorola has just announced two affordable smartphones, the Motorola Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus, both of which are partially made of metal. The phones succeed last year's Moto E3 series and run Android 7.1 Nougat.

Both smartphones feature water-repellent coating and come with some differences, with the Moto E4 Plus being the larger phone and with a larger capacity. As such, the Moto E4 sports a 7.5-inch display and comes with a 2,800mAh battery while running on the Snapdragon 427 processor and offering 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The smartphone measures 144.5 x 72 x 9.3mm.
In terms of rear camera capacity, the Moto E4 features an 8MP camera and a 5MP front sensor with LED flash and comes with a front-mounted fingerprint sensor. In this year's model, Motorola has increased the RAM capacity and internal storage, among other things, compared to the previous year's Moto E3. The Moto E4 will come in Black and Fine Gold colors.
The Moto E4 Plus features a 5.5-inch 7.5-inch display and is accompanied by a 5,000mAh battery, which is larger than the Moto E4. The Plus model measures 155 x 77.5 x 9.55mm, which is larger than the standard version. Motorola says the phone's battery can last for 2 days without needing to be recharged.
Under the hood, the Moto E4 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and comes in two storage variants, either 16GB or 32GB. It has a fingerprint sensor and sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash. The Moto E4 Plus will be available in Iron Gray and Fine Gold colors.
Motorola plans to sell the Moto E4 Plus for $179.99 (or €199 in Europe), while the Moto E4 will be priced at $129.99 (or €149 in Europe). The standard Moto E4 will be sold as an Amazon Prime exclusive phone, at a lower price. Motorola says the Moto E4 will be available on June 22.
