Microsoft recently confirmed that HP , Lenovo , and Asus are the first partners to introduce devices with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor as the company plans to bring the full version of Windows 10 to ARM chips.
Windows 10 on ARM is a project aimed at ultra-thin and always-connected devices, with Microsoft promising that the launch of such computers is not far off.
The Snapdragon 835 chip will run on X16 LTE which will provide up to 1Gbps download speeds, better battery life and five times longer standby time.
Windows 10 computers powered by Qualcomm processors are expected to be released in 2017, while some optimistic Windows users hope that smartphones with Windows 10 for ARM will also be created, like the much-discussed Surface Phone.
Microsoft, on the other hand, is focusing more on its new computers, especially with the release of the Windows 10 Creators Update.
"We are targeting the new generation of users who want to be connected to the cloud at all times. I'm talking about students, developers, freelancers, multinationals and smaller businesses. This means that sharing data between screens and leveraging the latest network technology such as gigabit LTE and eSIM are quite important," said Peter Han, Vice President of Partner Devices and Solutions.
Although it has not yet been confirmed, rumors suggest that the first devices will be released in the fall.
Its price will likely be lower than existing models, because their main target group is students.
