Lenovo launches a refreshed version of the IdeaPad laptops, this time three models that will be available in June in a series of colorful editions.
The new laptops, such as the 720S, the 320S and the standard 320, will be sold in white, black, silver, blue, red and purple and will come with screens ranging from 15 to 17 inches.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 320, for example, comes with a 15‑inch display and will be available from $439.99, as it is the most affordable configuration from the refreshed series. Prices increase as you move to better hardware, so if you choose the 17‑inch version, the starting price of $489.99 almost doubles if you select the Intel Core i7 chip, 16 GB RAM and 2 TB of storage.
On the other hand, if you want the best, you should go for the 720S, which features a 14-inch Full HD display and can be equipped with an Intel Core i7 processor, 512GB of storage, and 1GB of RAM. Pricing for this model starts at $969.99, but you'll obviously have to pay significantly more if you want better hardware.
The 720S is the most premium IdeaPad and comes with a new design that reduces the bezels, while Lenovo itself claims that it has a 14 inch screen within a 13 inch laptop chassis. It uses a chassis made of magnesium and aluminum and is available in two colors, specifically gold and silver.
Since they all run Windows 10, Lenovo also offers some features to make the most of the operating system, including support for Windows Hello, which allows the use of biometric authentication to secure your desktop, although this feature is only available with the more expensive 720S.
Sales of the new laptops will start next month and Lenovo reports that they are included in the back-to-school campaign, although it is a little too early for that since we are still in May.
