As the iPhone 8 release date approaches , the rumors are heating up... It's certainly a hotly debated topic, but we can't help but mention every detail that's leaked online.
This time there is talk of the possible possibility of Apple integrating Touch ID inside the power button.

A recent tweet from SlashLeaks seems to debunk all previous rumors that the fingerprint sensor would be built into the display or the back of the phone. It seems that Touch ID will be built into the power/lock button.
Of course, this alternative has been tried out by Sony with the Xperia XZ Premium , so it's a viable solution. But to be honest, it's quite difficult for Apple to follow this approach when the iPhone is such a thin device. Can you imagine Touch ID on the side?
In other words, if Apple intends to integrate Touch ID into the power/lock button, it will have to make its new smartphone thicker. Which is of course quite difficult to implement.
Let's not forget the possibility that the company will completely abandon the Touch ID idea and go for a 3D facial recognition system with cameras built into the top of the screen.
The same report also notes that the new iPhone will ultimately be called the iPhone Plus and not the iPhone 8. But again, we doubt that this will be the case as the iPhone 7s Plus will also be released in September, so such a name will only cause confusion in the market. The name “iPhone X” has also been on the table.
In other news, the new iPhone will come in the same color as the original model, which makes sense considering Apple is celebrating the device's 10th anniversary. There will also be four other colors: white, black, a mirrored one, and one that looks a lot like the iPhone 2G.
