Sony announced a series of new devices during this year's MWC edition, but some of them were not released in all markets. Now the company has revealed the prices and release dates of the Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia Touch and Xperia XA1 Ultra.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium will be available in the US starting June 12, 2017. The smartphone will be available for pre-order on Amazon and Best Buy, with the launch taking place a week later, on June 19. Users in the US will get the opportunity to buy the phone unlocked through Amazon, Best Buy, Fry's, and other retailers not mentioned in the press release.
Furthermore, the suggested retail price of the new device will reach $799.99. The phone runs on the latest Snapdragon 835 platform and features 4GB of RAM, a 5.46-inch display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, and a 3,230mAh battery capacity. Its most attractive feature is the 19MP rear camera sensor with Motion Eye and a 13MP wide-angle snapper.
The Xperia XZ Premium is the world's first 4K HDR display on a smartphone and comes with water and dust resistance. Additionally, the smartphone is offered in various colors, such as Luminous Chrome, Deepsea Black and Bronze Pink, and will support GSM networks.
The Sony Xperia Touch interactive projector will make its way to the US on June 16th and will be available at the Sony Square showroom in New York City. It will carry a retail price of $1,699.99.
Pre-orders for the mid-range Xperia XA1 Ultra will start on June 21 in the US. In-store sales will begin on June 2, but Sony has not disclosed the retail price for the new smartphone. Additionally, the device carries a price of about $400 in Europe and the US pricing should be fairly similar.
The Xperia XA1 Ultra comes with a 6‑inch Full HD display and a main 23 MP camera, combined with a 16 MP front sensor.
