Recent reports reveal that Apple plans to start production of the new iPhone 8 earlier than expected, but this does not necessarily change its launch date, so September is still the month of the unveiling.
BlueFin analysts John Donovan and Steve Mullane revealed that they received a message from Apple that production of the new smartphone is starting immediately as the giant aims for higher sales than those of its predecessors.
The iPhone 8 will radically change the image we are used to for iPhones, a fact that Apple hopes will attract new buyers and satisfy existing customers.
The report also highlights that Apple has already begun adjusting production levels of the iPhone 7 in order to be able to begin production of the next model.
"Apple is starting production of its upcoming iPhone earlier than historical standards suggest, although we have no indication that there is any change in its release plans," the analyst said.
As we have reported in the past, the iPhone 8 is expected to bring several upgrades over the existing models. It is rumored that one of them will be wireless charging, an improved camera, and an all-new design based on a glass and metal frame. It should be noted that Apple intends to build a device that will use similar construction materials to the iPhone 4, although many argue that the addition of ceramics would offer additional strength and a great look. Finally, there is a high possibility that the new iPhone will also have an OLED screen, although this has not been confirmed yet.
