Huawei is one of the largest smartphone manufacturers, but its products are not available in all markets. Like many other companies in the smartphone industry, Huawei chooses its battlegrounds carefully, and South Korea was not among its priorities when it came to premium phones .

But the company is currently looking to capitalize on the Galaxy Note 7 and enter new markets. According to a new report, Huawei has decided to launch its high-end P9 smartphones in South Korea for the first time. The P9 and P9 Plus were recently approved by the National Radio Research Agency, and are likely to be released in South Korea in December.
The company's high-end smartphones will compete with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge during the sales, something the Chinese company is not afraid of.
But apart from Samsung, Huawei will also be competing with dangerous rivals like the iPhone 7 and the recently launched LG V20. The company seems to think it is worth competing with the LG V20 and Apple’s iPhone 7 in the high-end markets after the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 solemnly left the market battle. It is also rumored that the price of one of the two (P9, P9 Plus) will be $615, but we still don’t know which one specifically.
Depending on market needs, there is a possibility that the P9 and P9 Plus will not be the only high-end smartphones to be launched in South Korean markets.
Meanwhile, the company is preparing a huge product launch event, which is scheduled for November 3rd, in Munich, Germany. The Chinese company is expected to present its new phablet, the Mate 9!
