New MacBook Pro and iPhone 7? pay for an adapter!

Apple's seemingly never-ending mission to make everything simpler is backfiring, as if you want to connect your new iPhone 7 to the new MacBook Pro, you'll need to pay for a new cable or dongle.

Why?

The new iPhone 7 comes with a USB Type A cable. The MacBook Pro comes with four USB ports but they are all Thunderbolt 3, USB Type-C.MacBook Pro

As Engadget reports, this means you'll have to buy a $20 adapter – or a whole new cable – to connect your devices.

Although all of this is done so that USB-C is the one and only physical port you will need, we have to say that this is a sloppy design after a company (we won't mention names) released a new phone with a cable that is not compatible with the same company's laptop.

Not to mention the new Lightning headphones you can't connect either.

Even though most things can be done from the cloud, there are still many who want to connect their iPhones to their Mac computers to manage music and apps with iTunes, or even just to charge their device.
