Samsung device owners are living big moments! Another massive case of déjà vu: The company is halting sales of the Galaxy Note 7 (again) after recent reports of explosions in replacement phones. Yes, those that are supposed to be safer.
Below the company's latest statement:
Samsung will ask all global partners to stop sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note 7 while the investigation is underway.
We work with the responsible regulatory bodies to investigate the recent reported cases concerning the Galaxy Note 7. Because consumer safety remains our top priority, Samsung will ask all providers and retail partners worldwide to stop sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note 7 while the investigation is underway.
Consumers, whether with an original Galaxy Note 7 or with the replacement device, must deactivate it and stop using it.
If you didn't understand: if you are the owner of the device, stop using it now.
Samsung, of course, to survive as a company must work very hard to restore its customers' trust.
Rumors indeed report that the company is trying for the release of the S8 – the earliest in February, in order to offset the disaster with the Note 7.
