Watch: Microsoft redesigned the Paint app for Windows 10
Microsoft is said to be working on a new version of its famous Paint app, with the new version of Windows 10 in mind. It is likely to be a Store app.
The WalkingCat, a Twitter user, discovered a video describing the new app, which states that the upcoming Paint app is built on UWP and is set to be optimized for touch and stylus input. While the new “Paint app preview” includes all the usual drawing features of Paint, it now also includes support for 3D, which makes it an ideal addition for HoloLens.
With this new app, Paint preview users will be able to create 3D content incredibly easily. To help artists create objects and brushes, Microsoft has included a range of pointers and art tools that can be used instantly to create 3D objects in the app. It also has the Community Integration feature, which lets you import images and 3D objects into your drawing that were created by others without leaving the app. It includes an interface that blends stickers, 2D images, 3D models and annotations.
The application is likely to be released as a Universal Windows App. This new app, which is aimed at artists and professionals, is likely to be announced in the upcoming October.
