Official Samsung statement on the new explosions in the Note 7

Following the evacuation of a Southwest Airlines flight this week, Samsung is working closely with the CPSC to investigate the matter.

Samsung seems to be trying again to solve a problem that seems to be going away. After the initial release of the Galaxy Note 7 and the company's failure with the device's batteries catching fire, it has released a second "safe" version of the smartphone.

However, after new incidents of battery explosions or ignitions, the Korean company is working with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission to determine the cause.samsung-note-7

An official statement was posted on Samsung's US website, and it states:

Samsung understands the concerns of carriers and consumers following recent reports raising questions about our recently released replacement Note 7 devices. We are continuing to investigate the reported incident to determine the cause and will share our findings as soon as possible. We remain in close contact with the CPSC throughout this process.

If we determine there is a safety issue, we will work with the CPSC and take immediate action to address the situation. We want to assure our customers that we take every report seriously and appreciate their patience as we work diligently through this process.

It should be mentioned here that countries like Thailand, where cases of the battery catching fire in the new "safe" device occurred, banned its sale from local stores, despite Samsung's statements, which are essentially still allegedly looking for the causes when people are in danger.

In the US, for those who have lost their trust in Samsung, Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile have stated that their customers can return their Note 7 replacements and exchange them for a device from another company.
