What happened after the Redhack hack: According to information from a country blog, Turkey blocked cloud storage services such as Google Drive, Dropbox and Microsoft's OneDrive, as well as the code hosting service GitHub on Saturday.
The government, with this move, is believed to be trying to suppress the leak of emails belonging to Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albayrak, who is the son-in-law of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The move to block the services, as reported by the censorship monitoring group Turkey Blocks, is likely a means to stop the hosting of the leaked emails on the services in question.
The leak concerns 17GB of messages, (57,623 emails) dating from April 2000 to the end of this September and was released by hacking group Redhack. An Ankara court investigating the group stressed the authenticity of the leak.
According to The Daily Dot, the correspondence shows how Tayyip Erdogan uses his position to influence the media by requesting the publication of selected information in pro-government newspapers.
Turkey Blocks meanwhile reports that Google Drive started working again as of Sunday.
The country has a long history of blocking internet services, always with the aim of controlling the information its citizens receive. It has blocked WikiLeaks in July, Twitter and Facebook in March after a car bomb exploded in Ankara. Of course, let's not forget the block on YouTube in 2016 as well.
