This morning we received an email informing us that WhatsApp (to its credit) immediately fixed the XSS on its page. We should mention that the news of the company's immediate response surprised us and we were glad that there are administrators and organizations that take the security of their customers so seriously.
Below is the email from our reader who informed us about the vulnerability fix:
Good morning, I want to inform you that the security gap on their Whatsup page has been closed. This is the reason why we prefer to publish these, because only then do the administrators take it seriously, and in previous cases we had such a quick response.. all this did not seem like an attack, but rather like an update.. which is our purpose.. Thank you very much for your immediate response, because thanks to you they saw it and took action.
