Sometimes Windows needs a fresh start, as a program may have crashed or a file may have become corrupted. Luckily, Windows 10 lets you do this with just a few clicks.
Windows 10 has an option that lets you reinstall Windows and clean up your programs, but it also keeps your files intact. Note that this process won't get rid of all the "useless" bonus programs that vendor added before you bought it - you'll have to do that manually - but it will get rid of any software that you or someone else installed along the way.
Even though Windows says it will keep files intact, always make sure to create backups or at least save your important files to some external source before taking such an action.
So, are you ready? Okay! Press the Start button and go to Settings . In Settings, select Update and Security , and then select Recovery .
At the top of the Recovery section, you'll see the Reset this PC . Click Get Started —don't worry, there's one more step—and then you'll have to make a choice. In this case, choose files , and the dialog box will remind you that this option will remove apps and settings.
Then you can just sit back and let Windows do its thing. It may take a while. When the process is finished, you should have a fresh installation of Windows, and unless you're very unlucky, your personal files will still be right where you left them. So, good luck!
